Neetbux is a 🤷♂️
A simple payment button for accepting payments with Bitcoin SV (BSV). Resembles Money Button and RelayX with the slight twist that Neetbux actually functions as intended. Neetbux uses BSV as the base currency, but to the user-facing side a fiat currency, such as U.S. Dollar (USD), can be used.
How to create a payment button?
A Neetbux payment button needs two components:
- a certain JavaScript
<script>tag, - and a special HTML tag, which looks like:
<neetbux>.
A more in-depth description of the whole affair is written below, but there's also a payment button generator.
There's also a set of demo buttons.
1/2: The JavaScript
First copy and paste the JavaScript tag shown below to your website.
<script src="https://neetbux.net/neetbux.js" defer></script>
This tag loads a special code library, written in JavaScript language, which is required for Neetbux to function.
Couple tips:
- Don't include the JavaScript tag more than once to the same Web page. That is: if you have for example two Neetbux HTML tags on the same page, you don't need to include the JavaScript tag twice -- once is enough.
- If a certain Web page doesn't have a Neetbux payment button, then the JavaScript tag is redundant. Thus, it can be removed from such a page.
2/2: The HTML
Copy and paste this HTML tag to your website, but modify it by setting the right amount (as a positive number), 3-letter currency code (such as eur or usd), and of course the right Bitcoin SV address as the payment recipient.
<neetbux data-amount="0.01" data-currency="eur" data-to="1LuJ4Gn9YaFooLoJZHZojGNNsEkZey63A"></neetbux>
This HTML tag is called a Web component. It's a custom tag used specifically by Neetbux. This tag is dynamically replaced by a payment button when the Web page is loaded.
Couple more tips:
- The above HTML tag means that 0.01 Euro, or 1 cent EUR, is sent to the BSV address
1LuJ4Gn9YaFooLoJZHZojGNNsEkZey63Afrom the user's Neetbux wallet. - A service fee of 1 % is taken from any payment over 0.1 EUR/USD/GBP. Thus, if the payment amount is 1 USD, then 1 cent is sent to Neetbux. The service fee for JPY is 1 % if the amount is 10 JPY or more, and for BSV it's 1 % if the amount is 0.01 BSV or more.
Attributes:
data-amountaccepts Arabic numerals, that is: numbers 0-9, and a period as a decimal separator.data-currencyis a three-letter currency code. It can be any of the following:usd,eur,gbp,jpy,bsv.data-tois a so-called legacy BSV address. Such legacy addresses always begins with the number "1".
How to keep track of payments?
After a successful payment Neetbux sends with JavaScript a JSON message using postMessage* method. That message can be listened using, for example, this simple JavaScript snippet:
<script>
window.addEventListener('message',message);
function message(contents) {
if (contents.origin === 'https://neetbux.net') {
console.info(contents.data);
}
}
</script>
The message itself contains useful information for bookkeeping and other purposes:

CSS is used to detect if the user's device prefers light or dark theme. The payment button uses by default light theme.
